UMNIII is a peer-to-peer services marketplace operated by Umniii Digital Limited (“UMNIII”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal data processed in the United Kingdom. Services provided through Meta platforms, including our WhatsApp Business messaging features, are operated by UMNIII Digital FZE LLC (United Arab Emirates), which is the controller for personal data processed through those services.
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, the choices you have, and your rights under applicable data protection law.
We rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation. Where consent is used, you can withdraw it at any time. Analytics and marketing cookies rely on your consent.
Effective date: 2 October 2026.
This policy applies to the UMNIII website, apps, and related services, including our WhatsApp Business and other Meta platform integrations. It does not cover the privacy practices of Sellers or third parties you interact with through the platform.
Account details, profile information, identity and business verification data where applicable, communications, reviews, project details, payment preferences, and support queries.
For payments we collect limited information and rely on our payment provider to process card data.
Device data, log data, approximate location from your IP address, and cookie identifiers. This helps us keep the platform secure and improve performance.
Where you have allowed Analytics, we also record interaction events: which controls you used, on which page, and where an outbound link took you. Where you have allowed Marketing, advertising identifiers are used to measure whether an advert led to an enquiry, and we store in your browser how you first reached us and how you most recently reached us: the campaign parameters in the link you followed, the advertising click identifier if there was one, the site that referred you, and the page you arrived on. If you then send us an enquiry, that record becomes part of the enquiry, so we can tell which of our marketing efforts helped you find us, and from that point it is handled with the rest of your message. It is kept for 90 days from when the record is first created, it is never created before you allow Marketing, and it is deleted from your browser if you withdraw that permission. Nothing you type into a form is stored in it.
See Cookies & Tracking for the full list, and to change your choices.
Identity and compliance checks from verification partners, payment status from payment providers, and analytics and advertising measurement from the providers named in Cookies & Tracking.
To create and manage accounts, enable listings, projects, messaging, ratings, held payments, payouts, and support. To monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
We may use aggregated and de-identified data for reporting and product improvement.
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms. To meet legal obligations including tax and financial record-keeping.
Service emails and notifications about your account or projects. With your consent, we may send marketing updates. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run this site. Everything else is off until you choose to allow it: Preferences, Analytics and Marketing are all switched off by default, and none of them load until you say so. We do not treat continuing to browse, scrolling, or closing the banner as consent.
A banner appears on your first visit offering Accept all, Reject all and Manage preferences as equally available choices. You can reopen those choices at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, and withdrawing is as straightforward as giving. If you switch off something that is already running, the page reloads so that it stops immediately.
Strictly necessary keeps the site working and cannot be switched off. Preferences remembers choices you make and loads embedded content such as the map on our contact page; until you allow it, that map is replaced by a placeholder and Google receives nothing. Analytics covers Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which records page views and which buttons, plans and links are used, on which page. This is interaction-level information, not only aggregate totals. Marketing covers three things: Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing; lemlist, which identifies the organisation a visitor is coming from so that our team can follow up; and UMNIII’s own first-party lead-source attribution, which records in your browser the campaign link or referring site you first arrived through and the one you most recently arrived through, so that an enquiry you send us carries its origin. That last one is ours rather than a third party’s: it is stored in your browser’s local storage under umniii_attribution for 90 days from when the record is first created, it holds only campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers, the referring site and one page address, and it is created only after you allow Marketing and deleted as soon as you withdraw it.
Which page address that is depends on when you allow Marketing. If you allow it when you arrive, we record the page you landed on. If you allow it later, after moving around the site, we record the page you were on at the moment you allowed it, and the record says so. We do not reconstruct a landing page we were not permitted to observe.
Google Tag Manager is only loaded if you allow Analytics or Marketing. Allowing Preferences alone does not load it.
We store your choice itself in one first-party cookie, umniii_consent, for six months. It records which categories you allowed, the date and time of your choice, and the version of this policy in force at the time. It contains no name, no account reference, and no identifier that could be used to recognise you. If we materially change what we collect, that version changes and we ask you again.
The table below lists the trackers currently configured in the UMNIII consent system, with the provider, purpose, storage and retention for each. Tags can also be managed through Google Tag Manager outside this list, so we keep the list under review rather than presenting it as a permanently complete record of every tag.
Declining Analytics and Marketing does not remove any feature of this website. The only visible difference is that the map on our contact page shows a placeholder until you ask for it.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Browser settings generally affect what a script can store rather than preventing it from loading, so we recommend using the Cookie settings control on this site, which stops non-essential trackers loading at all.
We share data with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as hosting, analytics, verification, and payment processing. We require them to protect your data and use it only for our instructions.
Where you have allowed Analytics or Marketing, the providers named in Cookies & Tracking receive data directly from your browser: Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads) and lemlist. Google may process this data outside the UK under its own transfer safeguards. If you decline those categories, no data is sent to them.
Our own lead-source attribution works differently, and it is worth being precise about. It is not sent from your browser to any advertising or analytics provider. It stays in your browser’s storage until you submit an enquiry. If you do submit one, it becomes part of that enquiry and is then processed by UMNIII and by the service providers we use to receive and deliver enquiries, in the same way as the rest of your message. If you withdraw Marketing consent it is deleted from your browser’s storage.
We may share data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, UMNIII, or others.
If we transfer personal data outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing where applicable. You can also request data portability.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. You can also object to direct marketing at any time.
Contact us using the details in the Contact section. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are not satisfied.
UMNIII is for users 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, but we strive to protect your information and review our controls regularly.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and to comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We may keep records of payments, disputes, and security events for longer where required.
Some UMNIII services let you communicate with us, or receive service updates and notifications, through WhatsApp. These features are provided using the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API), operated by Meta Platforms. When you contact us on WhatsApp we process your WhatsApp phone number, profile name, and the content of your messages in order to respond to you and provide the service you requested. Meta transmits and hosts these messages on our behalf in accordance with the WhatsApp Business terms and Meta’s own privacy policies.
You can stop receiving WhatsApp messages from us at any time by blocking our number in WhatsApp or by contacting us using the details in the Contact section.
Where we receive data from Meta platforms (for example through the WhatsApp Business Platform or other Meta integrations), we use it only to provide, maintain, and improve the relevant UMNIII features. We do not sell Meta platform data, and we handle it in accordance with Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
Certain features, such as automated replies and message assistance, use third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, to process the content of messages you send us in order to generate a response. We share only the information needed to provide the feature, and these providers process it as our service providers, subject to contractual safeguards, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
You can ask us to delete personal data processed through our WhatsApp, Meta, or AI-assisted features at any time by emailing [email protected] from the email address or phone number linked to your interaction. We will delete the data unless we are legally required to retain it, and we will confirm once done. See also Your Rights.
